Jamaican star Usian Bolt has successfully retained his world title in the 100m as he beat American Justin Gatlin in the keenly contested final race on Sunday in Beijing China.
Bolt ran a season’s best time of 9.79secs to shut the doubting Thomas who have predicted a end to his reign at the ongoing IAAF World Championships/
Despite struggling to make it to the finals, Bolt showed up when it mattered most as he ran a season best time of 9.79secs to beat his closest rival Justin Gatlin to second place in the star-studded final race.
Gatlin has been and is still the fastest man in the world this year having ran a world leading time of 9.74secs in the course of the season.
However, when it mattered most, Gatlin 33 could not muster the kind of performance he needed as he posted a time of 9.80secs which was only good for second place.
