It’s the final day of the season and all the flurry comes to a halt. With the relegation and league winners already decided it’s all about competition to Europe. Defeat on the last day would mean failure in a bid for Champions league qualification for either Man City & Man Utd; turning the season from abysmal to unacceptable. West Ham season is already qualified as a success, but one push and their season could result in a sensational finish.

 

Let’s go out on a limb for our last bets of the season. Long odds could aid in a a long enjoyable summer. Failing that, you have 4 months to save for the new season.

 

Arsenal V Aston Villa

 

Never mind Sunderland’s dismantling of Everton midweek. It was Newcastle’s failure to beat Villa, who have lost 11 previous games in a row that that put the nail in their relegation coffin.

 

Arsenal with a final roll of the dice attempt to overthrow their North London rivals Tottenham. It’s one less stick, a hefty one at that for the #wengerout brigade to beat Arsene with.

 

Villa don’t have the might and it seems not they’ve lost the fight. They may score a goal to resemble some pride. But I see Arsenal putting quite a past poor Villa.

 

Arsenal to win 3-1 – 12/1 – Betfair

 

Chelsea v Leicester

 

Hiddink and Ranieir are old friends, in more ways than one. Now I’m not saying that Chelsea will roll over for the Leicester victory parade. Merely saying to bet some money on it.

 

Leicester to win – 21/10 – Bet Fred

 

Newcastle v Tottenham

 

The last game with which to confirm 2nd place and a ego boosting finish above Arsenal. Just stay away from the Lasagne lads.

 

Newcastle season is well and truly over. The mercenaries didn’t put in any worthwhile performances when there was something to play for, so I wouldn’t expect anything less.

 

Tottenham will come out all guns blazing looking to score early to settle any nerves.

Bet of the week;

 

Sunderland are riding the crest of a wave. Watford will be giving Flores a wave goodbye. A classic example of the football roller coaster. The odds for Sunderland to win here after the spanking they gave Everton are fairly high.

 

Martinez was fighting for his job despite a top 10 finish and still got the sack. Flores has lost his job already, so you can guess what comes next.
