Brett’s Bets Of The Week

Man Utd – Leicester City

From parking the bus to buying a ticket on the next one out of Old Trafford. If the “Special One” loses this game he could be sent packing. Four losses in a row (no one counts a win against Northampton as anything to brag about) for Man Utd is not unheard of, what with LVG achieving that same de-feat last December but for Jose it is. He hasn’t had three defeats on the spin since managing Porto 10+ years ago. Four defeats could see a dead man walking!

Leicester is in buoyant mood considering their recent run of results. Confidence is high and with their record signing Slimani, they have added class to their cause.

Both teams like to counteract, so who’ll be the first team to flinch. Man Utd may overcompensate in this match and this is why I can see a few goals apiece.

Scoreline 2-2  draw –  18/1 – Bet 365

Liverpool – Hull

Jürgen Klopp’s heavy metal football has got scousers heads rocking. Heavy metal football translates into heavy favourites for the home side in this one against Hull. Assuming Hull don’t do a Burnley, all will be well for Klopp at the Kop.

That being said there must be a game where Liverpool keep a clean sheet and the whispers are in that Karius starts tomorrow. At last Simon Clusterf*** Mignolet is on the bench and out of harm’s way! Liverpool may take it easy on Hull’s heroes.

Under 2.5 goals – 29/20 – Coral

Sunderland – Crystal Palace

There are not many games where Sunderland can expect to get a result, even less of those where they are capable of doing such a thing.

Palace at home represents optimism on both fronts. Not the greatest team in either attack or defence, Sunderland will try to nullify Crystal Palace’s new look attack. They can get a result if it’s a perfect storm but I see some whirlwind from Palace notching up a goal.

Draw – 23/10 – Bet Victor

West Ham – Southampton

Shipping four goals in two consecutive games for West Ham, leaves zero doubt about what training has revolved around this week! Southampton not having the best of starts either and their strikers are not striking the heart into even the most meagre of defences.

Tight at the back with a penchant for scoring some spectacular goals…into the limelight steps up one Dimitri Payet. West Ham must stop the rot at some point. Why not now? Why not against the Saints?

West Ham to win to nil – 4/1 – Sky Bet
