Moroccan club, Raja Casablanca, have finally unveiled Super Eagles winger, Michael Babatunde, and has handed him the club’s Number 10 jersey.
Babatunde, who was forced to dump Ukrainian side, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, in December owing to unpaid wages, was offered a three-and-half-year deal after he successfully passed a medical test on Monday.
The 23-year-old, who was regarded as one of the stand out performers for Nigeria at the World Cup in Brazil, would be keen to hit the ground running at his new club even as he makes a bold statement against critics who queried his decision to join an African club having played most of his career in Europe.
Raja Casablanca will be Babatunde’s fifth club having featured for Heartland FC, FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, FC Volyn Lutsk and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.
According to Babatunde’s agent, Makanjuola Nureni, the Super Eagles winger will head to Marrakech on Thursday to join up with his new teammates ahead of the second stanza of the Moroccan league.
