Odion Ighalo Extends Contract with Watford

Nigeria international striker Odion Ighalo has extended his time with Barclays Premier League outfit Watford until 2020. Ighalo signs a 5 years contract extension with Premier League new boys Watford FC.

The 26-year-old first moved to Vicarage Road on a loan spell from Udinese and then won a permanent deal with The Hornets following his splendid performance in the colours of the club leading up to their promotion.

Ighalo formed a deadly partnership up front with Troy Deeney and that helped Watford win automatic promotion to the English top division.

The Nigerian striker showed predatory instinct in front of goal for Watford and scored an impressive thirteen goals in nine games in the Championship at the start of 2015.

Since joining Watford, the striker has scored twenty-one goals in forty-two appearances. Ighalo has played in all three Premier League matches for The Hornets so far, scoring once in the two all draw against Everton on the opening day.

He is now in contention to play his fourth top flight game for Watford when they play hosts to Swansea City this weekend.
